Welcome to the Recycling Group!

Welcome!

A small free advert on our website puts two people in touch. One person kindly offering something they no longer need and another only too pleased to come and collect it. No money changes hands, but you still end up with two happy people. This is how our web site works.

About the Group

Everything listed is free. If you see something you could use, contact the person making the offer. If you have something you no longer need, please offer it. The idea is to give useable items a good home and to keep them out of landfill.

Click here to find your local group to join. It is free and only takes a minute to register. We ask for your name, postcode and email address. However to protect our members from spam we don't display email addresses on our web site. You can also provide your phone number if you prefer to be contacted that way by other group members.

Share The Idea

The group has been a great success - 500 items have been saved from landfill, and 500 items have been received gratefully. Fridges, sofas, computers, tables and chairs have been flowing around Sonning Common and Henley. Every one of these items makes two happy individuals, and a world which lasts a little longer.

However our plan now is to grow outside Sonning Common and Henley, to bring this community of sharing and recycling to the rest of the country. Our vision is to make a real difference - a country which imports less and recycles more, with hundreds of little communities nationwide, happily giving, taking and sharing.

For this, we need your help. We've reprogrammed the site for you so that you can now start your own groups. Choose a local town you think would benefit and email us to get in touch. Promoting the group is the most crucial part - and we'll need help with this from everyone. You can email your friends, write an article for the local village magazine, or come up with any other ideas to help.
